The Vienna School of Mathematics (VSM) is devoted to top-level PhD research in all branches of mathematics. It fosters intra- and interdisciplinary scientific cooperation and aims at increasing the international visibility of the mathematical research and doctoral programs in the Vienna area.
The VSM is a joint school of the University of Vienna and TU Wien. Within the University of Vienna, it is one of the doctoral schools following a new scheme introduced in 2020.
